Blog Love: Let's Mingle. Leave One. Visit One.

Hydrangeas on the kitchen table.

Last week's post, Where is Your Blog Community, really struck a chord. It seems we are all searching for meaningful connections.

I've thought long and hard for an answer and here is my best: allow me to introduce you all to one another. This is a Blog Mingle, people.

The Rules are simple.

1) Leave only one comment answering this prompt any way you like. Name something you are or were once afraid of. It can be anything.

Make sure to leave your blog web address just in case.

Don't feel like playing? No problem. Scroll down and comment on a different post. I've got hundreds.

2) Visit the blog that commented above you and leave a "hello from the mingle" when you get there. It's okay if you already know each other or are completely incompatible. Leave a comment anyway. That's what mingling is about. If you happen upon a spammer just visit the blog above that.

3) The first blogger to leave a comment gets a free pass. That's the prize for being first. The last person to leave a comment gets a feature here on GirlwithaNewLife.com, if you want one.

Happy Mingling!

I'll go first.

Spiders. Crazies. Hot tubs give me the skeevies, for obvious reasons. I used to fear abandonment, but not so much anymore. Now I mostly fear wasted time. www.GirlwithaNewLife.com

What a fun game! I'm afraid of germs. Not sure what I think germs are going to do to me, but I hate them and carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go.

Thanks for sponsoring this mingle!

This is fun Tina. Worms scares me the much. I can't stand the sight of them and if you want me to scream out my lungs, you know what to do.

Rathi said...

i am afraid of uncertainty. it irritates me when it comes from others and it scares the shit out of me when it comes from me.

Hope Sey is considered last 'cause I want no feature...thank you anyway Tina! My greatest fear is heights>segs into>fear of flying! I'm also claustrophobic>segs into>a fear of flying! The only plane trip I ever enjoyed was at a family reunion when I was about 5 and went up in a Piper Cub with my much older cousin and my sister! Ignorance is BLISS!

Great idea, Tina. I am currently afraid of centipedes and was once afraid of writing a novel but no longer!

I am afraid to call people I don't know, including the pizza parlor. It's crazy, I know! However, I get such anxiety picking up a phone and trying to call someone who I do not know. Phone phobia!! EEK!

Sometimes, I am still afraid of the dark. And being alone in a big house. And spiders will ALWAYS give me the creeps.

I love this idea!! I may steal this one day!!!

I fear not seizing every opportunity and missing out on life. I don't want to be the girl who let fear of the unknown stop her from taking chances in life.

i'm afraid of heights and tiny spaces, but i can handle some tiny spaces. i'm also scared of the future bc i can't see it anymore. it's just a mental blank all of a sudden

How fun! I was (and am a little still) afraid of the dark! Watching scary movies is out of the question, after I get all paranoid and scared in the dark, and I also tend to bring those scary scenes into my dreams.

I am terrified of heights! The weird this is, when forced into a situation where I have to go someplace high, I feel the urge to just jump and get it over with. I would never do that though-I'd be too scared of the fall;)

I am afraid of bats. I am afraid of driving on crowded freeways. Sometimes I'm afraid I'm losing my mind!

Perfect Love casts out all fear. That's what the word of God says. Reality for me though is that I still have fears. E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y

Fear of living my life without my husband. I lived to many years single and want to spend the rest of my days here on earth with him. I don't want to be left behind.

Hello, I was once terrified of heights. A really bad case of weak knees inside a clear glass elevator. I signed up to rappel and skydive to torture myself. I was also afraid of cocktail networking events. Because of my day job, I was forced to do it and put up a front like it's the easiest thing in the world. I fooled a lot of people but inside, it's actually scary complete with butterflies in the stomach. It gets better each time though. I agree with Leah about love conquering all fears.

I am afraid of heights and snakes. And rodents. In my house. That would be bad. And vampires. Again, in my house - which would definitely be bad.

Love this mingle idea! (and also love your blog!)

You're so good at stuff like this, Tina - what a great hostess you are! I'm afraid of judgment, rejection, and being/doing less than what I could. Also, I'm afraid to vacuum when I'm alone in the house - afraid someone will sneak in and get me unawares over the vacuum noise. (consequence of too many scary novels, I think!)

I am afraid of dying before my son gets old enough to REALLY know me. I know that is horrible to think about but I do! Please don't let me be last because I already owe you one story! LOL!

I am cutting off eligibility for a feature on GirlwithaNewLife here. Please feel free to add your comments if you like.

Lauren, you may want to update the link on your profile. Now that you are blogging at a masonjarlife it is a tiny bit confusing, and I want to make sure you get a comment from the mingle. Also, are you updating your comments? If you are then forgive the feedback. I think one of my old comments from last week isn't showing.
