Virtual Field Trip: Cancun, Mexico
Hello, FL Girl Meets the Midwest fans! Today, we're gonna shake things up a bit on the virtual field trip. That's right, we're going international. I'm Laura from Gringation's Blog, and I'm here to take you on a virtual field trip of my city: Cancun, Mexico.
Grab your tequila, and let's get this party started!
We'll start off the morning at one of my favorite places, right off the coast of Cancun: Isla Mujeres. This is where I go when I just need a break. We have to take the ferry.
15 minutes later, here we are! Now we'll need to rent golf carts to drive around the island. Hop in!
Our first stop will be my favorite lookout spot, at Garrafon Park. We can watch the tourists go down the zipline.
After mixing with the locals and a trip to the beach, let's head down the coast a ways and stop by Xcaret. Usually this cultural/nature park costs about $100 US to get in. Since you're with me today, we'll get to hang out here for free.
Whoo! That was tiring. There's still a lot more to see, though! Let's head back to the city and check out the beach. Just this year, Cancun reconstructed all its beaches, which had been largely diminished due to Hurricane Wilma. Playa Delfines is a great public beach. Let's spend the late afternoon there!
Ok guys. I say we head home for some showers to get all the sand and sunblock off. Make sure to dress up! It's Saturday, after all, and Cancun has some of the world's best nightclubs.
First, we'll stop by Bulldog Cafe and listen to some rock/hip hop.
How about a foam party at the Hotel Oasis?
Dubai Nightclub is where most of my friends hang out, and it's definitely the cheapest!
Well, I hope you had as much fun as I did exploring Cancun! I love playing tour guide.

Tina Lane Here. Thank you, Laura, for a thrilling Virtual Field Trip. You throw a good party, lady. My favorite part? That you took us to a foam party. How fun was that???! I think I feel a hangover coming on.
If you have a virtual field trip to take FL Girl Readers on, please let me know. I welcome guests.
Until next time, keep it fabulous.
